The Fauquier NAACP Education Committee is pleased to announce our Annual Scholarship Program. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from each of the county's three public high schools.
Scholarships are awarded for academic achievement, outstanding citizenship, leadership, service, and participation in activities in and out of school. Scholarships are available for applicants who will attend accredited trade, vocational, and technical schools; community colleges; or four-year colleges and universities. The scholarship is independent of any other assistance the student may receive to attend college or a vocational school.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must have a 2.5 grade point average and complete either the online or a paper application process.
Minority applicants, applicants who face financial or personal hardships, and those who are dedicated to improving their local communities are encouraged to apply.
An online application may be accessed here.
For a paper application, please contact the Education Committee at: NAACPFauquierCountyEducation@gmail.com or your school counseling office, where one will be provided to you.
Deadline: Applications and all supporting documents must be received by March 25, 2022 to be eligible.
